Most safeguarding tools work by sending a child's activity to a company server and analysing it there. Guardian does the analysis on the device itself. Parents and schools get the protection; the child's messages, searches and photos stay where they were.

Works offlineBecause detection runs locally, protection continues on aeroplane mode, on school wifi that blocks our domains, and on a patchy mobile connection.

Install on the child's phone or tablet, choose the age band, and pick who gets alerts. There is no library of your family's activity sitting on our infrastructure, because we never collected it.

Where this came from

Guardian started as lab work on the safeguarding apps already on the market. Several were shipping children's content off-device in ways their own privacy policies did not describe. We published what we found, then built the version we would be willing to install on our own children's phones.
